The Beauty of Belonging
There are places we never leave behind, because they live within us.

Born in Tacuarembó, a daughter of Villa Ansina, Uruguay.
I grew up surrounded by the countryside, rivers and traditions. I learned to observe, to appreciate simple things and to respect the rhythms of nature.
Today, I recognise those years as a gift.
Because our roots are more than where we come from. They are part of who we are.

I taste the bitterness of yerba mate and feel its warmth between my hands.
I close my eyes and return to the countryside, to the changing seasons, to the rhythms of the land.
My father taught me to observe nature and discover the majesty of its work in every living being. So simple to our eyes, so complex in its essence and so sublime in its harmony.
From my mother, I learned to care for and respect myself, as a woman and as a human being. I remember how, as evening fell, she would take care with her appearance, even amid the simplicity of country life. Through her, I discovered that feeling beautiful is also a way of loving yourself.
Over the years, I came to understand that some lessons stay with us, wherever we may be: the way we see the world, appreciate simple things, care for ourselves and care for what surrounds us.
Today, far from those landscapes, I still find a part of home in those small gestures.
Because belonging does not always mean being in a place. Sometimes it means carrying it within you.
